Dreamhost

I have been using Dreamhost for almost two years now and I’m pleased with their services. Not only are they reliable, but they’re also quite cheap and offer more than you’d most likely ever need of both bandwidth and disk space. In addition to that, you can add as many domains to the package as you’d want to (though having to pay for the domain registrations). Unlimited email accounts are another reason why to choose to use this host.

There are one click installations to make it easier to get wordpress, forums, wiki, galleries etc. And even better, once there is an upgrade of the software, you can go into the panel and click to update. If you have added modifications, some need a couple of the steps redone, but other than that it’s by far less work than having to update on your own. It is always a good idea to be updated due to security issues etc.

You can also find a knowledge base and a wiki etc for information to help you with your site. Before contacting support (which do reply swiftly), then it’s an idea to look in there. You may even find tips and tricks you didn’t even think to ask about. Their monthly newsletters are a joy to read as well, and there is always some kind of update.

Another good feature is that you can easily add and remove ftp users. This means that you can host your friends’ sites if you’d like and they can have limited access to the control panel to control their own site. They can either have their own full domain, or a sub domain on your website. The possibilities are endless!

Give it a try. And while you’re at it, why not also use the promo code LIZIOUS when signing up and get $37 off! If you don’t like it, you can always change hosts at a later date, and at least your first year there would be nice and cheap. Check them out at: http://dreamhost.com
