Poetry - my silent dreams

Winter Wonderland

Snowflakes, snowflakes
Dancing together tonight
Seems to be all it takes
To make it look so light

Different looks the ground
Everything has gone white
No one making a sound
Oh, what a beautiful sight

Closer and closer they fall
The wind guiding their way
The children having a ball
Playing in the snow all day

For months it will stay
Nothing but white in sight
Hopefully not melt away
Making it all look so bright

Snowmen and women
Come, gather around
For this is a time when
Angels appear on the ground

Eskimo-looks for young and old
Taking the sleigh ride once more
Sitting by the fire, stories are told
Too cold to think about war

Snowflakes, snowflakes
How pretty they are tonight
I wish you could be what it takes
To make children forget their frights

How bright are the starlight
And how beautiful the snow
A dream will come true tonight
Whose dream I do not know

This is magic, if you believe
Treetops covered, left and right
Believe the peace will never leave
Everything is covered in white

You and me enjoying the snow
The wonders of winter are many
I'm sure you can see some now
Why not come out and join us
Watch the beauty as it sets tonight
